SEL: Much of our morning meeting discussions this month will revolve around Black History Month. We've had some wonderful conversations as we learn about important figures in Black History. Ask your learner to summarize these classroom discussions.
Reading: We will begin a new unit in which the students will write an imaginative narrative story.
Science: We will wrap up Lesson 1, "Identify Properties of Materials," and begin Lesson 2, "Mixtures and Solutions."
Social Studies: The research part of our project is nearly done. Next, we will turn our attention to putting our research into storyboards that will ultimately become a podcast that tells a story about a Native American tribe.
Math: Unit 5 is all about decimals. There will be a second sub-unit quiz after Lesson 13. Click here to learn more about Unit 5.
