4/21/25 - 4/25/

 

Reading:  We're back in Module 3, which is all about natural disasters.  These stories will help us build our nonfiction reading skills.  

Science:  The next part of our Earth and Space unit is "Earth's Place in Space."

Social Studies:  The students have been doing excellent collaborative work on their colony projects.  This week, we will wrap up this activity with presentations in front of the class.

Math:  Unit 4 is called "Multiplying and Dividing Whole Numbers and Decimals."  Module 2 will be all about multiplication and division strategies, and Module 3 is called "From Array to Algorithm."

4/14/25 - 4/18/25

 

Reading:  We will wrap up our narrative writing unit with collaborative peer editing and revising.  

Science:  We'll focus solely on social studies for a few weeks before Mrs. Gemmel returns to help us resume the last part of Unit 4 "Earth and Space."

Social Studies:  We are working in collaborative groups to create our own colonies.  We have developed group norms and roles that will help us work together in order to create this social studies slideshow.

Math:  Unit 4 is all about Multiplying and Dividing Whole Numbers and Decimals, and Modules 1 and 2 will be all about multiplication and division strategies.
